Dang, too bad I didn't read this post when it was fresh, or I'd have invited you to attend TEDxBloomington for our "The Wisdom of Play" conference on May 14! We had a slew of speakers and attendees who would've loved to extend this conversation.

Several speakers wove the concept of "gaming the world" through their presentations, most notably, Edward Castronova (who was quoted by Jane McGonigal in her TEDTalk), http://tedxtalks.ted.com/list/...

Marc and Sara Schiller, curators of the world famous Wooster Collective in NYC, spoke of "Gaming the Streets" in their presentation about modern, ephermearl street art. http://tedxtalks.ted.com/list/...

And TED favorite, Gever Tulley, spoke of "50 Dangerous Things (You Should Let Your Children Do)" and the play philosophy of BrightWorks, the new school he's building in San Francisco. http://tedxtalks.ted.com/list/...

What would be helpful to both expand the reach of this blog, or the message itself that is on any given individual post, is a one click, or two click share 'this video' link. Without the super obvious link/share ability, I am required to leave this site, go to the Youtube video, and then get the link and then 'share it' with specific individuals via email, or post on my FB page. Is there something I am missing? I want to have your blog reach many others, but sharing a link to the blog itself doesnt give a video window in facebook, etc. Or as i said, I am missing something. Help!

This is a fantastic creation. It's not a film about Ultimate Frisbee (much to my relief) but is a film about family. And a film about play. It speaks to the longing, felt by many of us, for a community of brothers and sisters, allied to achieve success.

Achieved it you have. I'd never heard of Paganello and would never have cared much,frankly. Now I want to go.

sat down to check out the sneak preview...to be honest, i wasn't planning on watching the whole thing, but i got sucked in and enjoyed the entire thing. LOVED the storytelling, great work man!

Loved it!

It's a movie about Ultimate in that everything it entails. We who play know that Ultimate is much more than the plays on the field; it's about your team and the mentality we all have. As Carl said, it's about our community.

Great to see the Rimini boys and organizers as well!

Brett,

Thanks for letting me glimpse into "your world". You share from a place way down deep inside and I like that. I learn about the authentic you because you dare to go down deep and reveal yourself to me. I love that you took the time to write your thoughts about your experience with your foster puppy. Experiences like that can be very revealing and it is nice that you shared what you learned with others.

There is a child inside each one of us that longs to romp and play and be carefree. I have a photo of myself at age 8 that I have in a place where I see it everyday. That photo reminds me of the child inside of me. Looking at that photo takes me back to the memories of me at that age of innocence. I most easily go back to being that child when I come before God each morning in prayer. He is my heavenly Father and I am His child. I don't have to be anyone other than my authentic self with Him because He created me and knows every detail about me. I am free to be me.

Thanks for letting me share with you from down deep inside, too. You and I have taken the time over the years to have long talks about things in life that really matter. And, for that I am so grateful.
